Brett Turnage Industries

BTI was started by BRETT TURNAGE. Having grown up around racing teams like Accufab Racing, Nuformz, and Tiger Racing, he was well-versed in the racing world from a young age. He became a fabricator, building intercooler and turbocharger kits, along with designing big brake systems for Mustangs. He learned carbon fiber fabrication in 2009, having apprenticed at an epoxy manufacturer.

He learned 3D printing in 2013, and CAD in 2015. He became a protege in both of those fields mastering CAD & 3D printing and was sponsored by AutoDesk, Solutech Filaments, Simplify3d, among others. He was a pioneer in the 3D printing RC car community having developed the first 3D printed motorcycle that was featured in motorcycle magazines around the world. He worked with HP on the development of their industrial 3d Printer, the HP Multijet Fusion 3D printer, and he designed their high-detail test print.

During the pandemic, he released his last 3D printed RC car, the Delorean Time Machine, which made it onto the cover of RC Car Action.

After law school, Brett started working for Hot Rod Magazine. He became a world-renowned automotive journalist interviewing some of the most famous race car drivers to have ever graced a track. His article on the GT350 was on the cover in July 2019. In 2021 he led a team that proved who the designer of the 1967 GT500 was, Charles McHose, along with unveiling to the world the long-lost initial sketches of that iconic car.

Since then, he has worked for Ford Performance, Gateway Bronco, Autologic Magazine and his works are still available on MotorTrend’s website.

His photography skill were as good as his writing talents, and he has done photoshoots for Shelby American, Ford, Gateway Bronco, Saleen, OVC Mustangs, and others.

master of none

“I always hated that statement because being a student of many different disciplines should be something that is commendable. Whether out of necessity or curiosity, becoming a master of anything takes time and dedication. I have a broad skillset ranging from CAD, 3D printing, photography, videography, journalism, composites, documentarian, and fabrication to name a few. I may not be a master of all, but my works for both journalism and 3D printing have been published in magazines and websites around the world, I've conducted multi-million dollar photoshoots that have been used for Ford, and other major companies. I’ve designed CAD designs for HP for their industrial 3D printer, and I’ve developed carbon fiber products for race cars. I love the phrase Jack of All Trades. It does not equal Master of None.”

“it was all a dream…”

“Building a company around my patented modular heat exchanger, The Manhattan, I was focusing on IMPROVING the manufacturing process. The struggles that I faced led me to explore closed molding. Then came the idea of Aerodinamica. A project that pushed me to develop new skill sets. The result is a beautifully crafted piece of carbon. The knowledge gained has spurred the development of future products that will stand upon thOSe lessons learned.
